150 ml cooked,mashed Pumpkin.
1 Egg
0.5 tsp Salt.
250ml Flour
1.5 tsp Baking powder
Sauce:
250 ml Sugar
125 ml Water
65 ml Milk
1 tblsp. Butter or margerine.
0.5 tsp salt
1 tsp Vanilla essence
1 tblsp Cornflour.
Deepfryer or pan with vegetable oil.
Thoroughly mix all the Pumpkin ingredients.Using 2 teaspoons add a heaped teaspoon at a time to oil (about 180 C )until golden brown,remove onto towel paper.
Sauce:
Place Sugar,Water and milk into a pot and bring to a steady boil.Add Butter, Salt and Vanilla. Stir a little cold water with the cornflour and add. Arrange Fritters onto a dish and pour sauce over all. Enjoy with Icecream.Try substituting the pumpkin with cooked and mashed Beetroot or mashed Banana.
